What does hearing from heaven mean? Where is this heaven and how do I hear from it? Jesus said the kingdom of God is within you. He goes on to say that my sheep know my voice and no other voice will they follow. The prophet Elijah was in a cave waiting for the voice to come. There was an earthquake, and the rocks broke into pieces but God wasnt in all the noise there came quietness and there in the still small voice came the word of the lord and when Elijah heard it he got up and went out. The voice comes in quietness when we are still, motionless. It comes without effort or struggle. It comes from deep within our most inner being. God said be still and know that I am GOD. It is then only can we perceive that voice.
It is very hard to know when the voice is speaking when we are so involved with daily activities the kids the bills our jobs love ones and enemies. What then do we do? We get somewhere away from those things. It can be in a park at home in the basement anywhere that is away from distraction. We must find this quiet time, for it is only then we shall hear.
I recall times when I didnt know what to do in given situations but yet when were going through there is an inkling an urging a prompting that is being ignored by us. That is the voice. But we are too caught up to even realize its there. This is why so many times you hear a soul say I should have followed my first mind I knew I shouldnt have done that, something told me to. Sounds familiar! Im sure it does.
It is by these ups and downs and trials that we grow and learn. But we must remember the lessons these trials have taught us, there is a lesson in all we go through. Everything that comes onto our lives whether it be a bad relationship, children, mother in laws, father in laws or be it whatsoever. These things come to pass; they come carrying with it the seeds for blessings, for our growth. Jesus said why callest me good there is none good but the father and fear not it is his good pleasure to give you the kingdom. When GOD made the heavens and earth he said it was good. It is our thinking that judges things of whether they are good or bad. God has said all he made was good. Jesus hung his head on the cross and said, it is finished. There is no more for God or for Jesus to do. It is now up to us .He has given us of his power. Jesus said you shall do greater works than he did. The Spirit of God is within us. What shall we now do? We shall but listen for our guidance and do that which we hear.
